In the US，giving a little extra money to service workers on top of your bill is a common practice．

Yet there is an exception．For take-out food，you don't have to provide tips，though some people say that filling an order still requires work and time that deserve a little extra-but maybe a little less．
Tips are not expected at fast food restaurants，cafés or ice cream shops either，though a tip jar might be right by the cash register （收銀機(jī)）．Don't feel obligated to throw some money in，but also remember that it doesn't hurt．Those workers do not rely on tips．
Other service workers also receive tips．For taxi drivers，15percent is the norm （標(biāo)準(zhǔn)），more if they help with your bags．Hairdressers often receive about 15percent of the bill．The same goes for spa therapists and tour guides．
Today，you can even pay tips on a credit card．When receiving a copy of the bill to sign，you are free to fill in how much you'd like to tip．
Though thinking about when to tip and how much you should tip causes a big headache for many Chinese people，it's important to bear in mind that as long as you show respect and use your reasoning，things will be just fine．

People of Metropolis are not the fools everyone thinks they are．Researchers from University of York's Department of Psychology showed participants faces of people．The pictures were presented in pairs in three groups：glasses-wearing faces，a pair with only one person wearing glasses，and finally a pair with no one wearing glasses．Each participant had to judge whether the faces shown in each pair were the same person or not．
In those cases where both of the faces wore glasses or where neither wore glasses，participants were right 80percent of the time．When one face wore glasses，and the other didn't，participants were much less able to identify when the same person was there，scoring about six percent lower．
These findings suggest that，generally，people find it difficult to match strangers'faces．When they wear glasses，the challenge is even greater．
Besides proving Clark Kent could have actually made it，the results could be useful to improve the security of passports and other ID cards．
"We hope that this research can be used by governments to help inform future policies on identification for security purposes，particularly in the UK where individuals who normally wear glasses are required to remove them for their identification cards，"the researchers wrote．
